Ben commanded 50,000 troops across Europe from 2014-2017 and was the first commander of NATO's Allied Land Command in Turkey. He's focused on the technology threats that matter most - and he’s helping our mission.
He's seen firsthand how adversaries exploit technological gaps to gain strategic advantages, and this experience is exactly what we need.
When Ben was running NATO's land forces, he dealt with interoperability nightmares across 28 countries with different systems, different standards, and different threat perceptions.
He knows what happens when allies can't trust each other's communications - and what happens when enemies can exploit those gaps.
He understands the threat posed by deepfakes better than anyone.
Ben joined us after seeing deepfake attacks target senior government officials including Secretary of State Marco Rubio.
He's seeing how AI-generated voices are fooling people who should know better.
And he knows that when detection confidence drops from 95% to zero, human judgment becomes worthless.
Ben co-authored "Future War and the Defence of Europe" and currently served as NATO Senior Mentor for Logistics until December 2024.
He also consults for companies on European security and understands how technology shapes geopolitical outcomes.
For us, Ben is more than someone just providing advice.
The defense establishment needs solutions that work in classified environments, that don't depend on cloud connectivity, and that provide explainable results when national security is at stake.
They need technology built by people who understand how adversaries actually operate.
Having someone who commanded troops across Europe advise us on our roadmap changes how we think about deployment, integration, and real-world requirements.
Synthetic media threats were once a theoretical risk.
Now that they are real, we are encouraged that we can count on people like Ben for guidance.
