UnCognito LLC Privacy Policy

Effective Date:
September 4, 2025
UnCognito (“we,” “our,” or “us”) is committed to protecting the privacy and security of all users of our application and services. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information in accordance with applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) in the European Union, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) in the United States, and other relevant privacy laws in jurisdictions where we operate.

By using UnCognito, you acknowledge and agree to the terms outlined below.

1. Information We Collect

UnCognito has been designed with privacy-by-design principles, meaning we minimize the collection of personal information and only process what is strictly necessary to operate, secure, and improve the application.

Specifically, we collect the following categories of information:

  • Usage Metrics
    • General application performance statistics (e.g., feature usage frequency, session duration).
    • Information about how the application interacts with your device to optimize functionality.
    • For Apple App Store disclosure purposes, this falls under “Usage Data,” collected for “App Functionality” and “Analytics.” This data is not linked to your identity.
  • Diagnostic Data
    • Crash logs, error reports, and technical details about your device (such as operating system version, device model, or app version).
    • Collected solely to troubleshoot issues, maintain security, and improve reliability.
    • For Apple App Store disclosure purposes, this falls under “Diagnostics.” This data may include device identifiers (e.g., device model, OS version, app version), which Apple considers data, but it is not linked to you personally.

2. Information We Do Not Collect

  • We do not collect direct personal identifiers such as your name, physical address, location data, phone number, e-mail address, or payment information.
  • We do not track your browsing activity, content of communications, or personal files.
  • We do not sell or share any information with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.

3. Purposes of Processing

UnCognito collects usage metrics and diagnostic data only to operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Services. No personal data is used for marketing, profiling, or other purposes.

Specifically, in Apple App Store terms, we use collected data only for “App Functionality” and “Analytics.” We do not use data for advertising, tracking, or linking to third-party data sources.

4. Data Retention

  • Usage metrics and diagnostic data are retained for up to a maximum of 90 days to maintain, secure, and improve the Services, after which the data is permanently and securely deleted.
  • No personally identifiable information is retained.

5. Data Sharing and Transfers

UnCognito does not sell user data. However, we may share limited usage metrics and diagnostic data with trusted third-party analytics service providers solely to help us understand app performance, troubleshoot errors, and improve user experience.

These providers process data such as app usage events, crash reports, device model, operating system version, and app version. No direct personal identifiers (such as name, address, email, or payment details) are collected or shared.

Third-party providers act as our data processors under contractual agreements that require them to handle data securely and only for the purposes specified by UnCognito. We do not permit these providers to use your data for advertising or to track you across apps or websites owned by other companies.

Any data collected may be processed in the United States, the European Union, or other jurisdictions with appropriate safeguards in place. Where required, transfers outside the European Economic Area (EEA) will follow GDPR-approved mechanisms such as Standard Contractual Clauses.

6. Data Security

We employ industry-standard technical and organizational measures to protect against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction of data. This includes encryption, access controls, and secure infrastructure.

7. User Rights

UnCognito collects only usage metrics and diagnostic data necessary to maintain and improve the app. We do not collect any personally identifiable information, browsing activity, content, or other personal data.

Where applicable under privacy laws such as GDPR or CCPA, users may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict the processing of personal data.  Although UnCognito does not collect direct personal identifiers, Apple defines certain technical data (such as device identifiers, crash logs, and usage data) as “personal data.” If you wish to request access to or deletion of any usage or diagnostic data we may retain, you can do so by contacting us at
privacy@uncognito.ai.

8. Children’s Privacy

UnCognito is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the minimum age of digital consent in the relevant jurisdiction). We do not collect personal data from children.

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in law, technology, or business practices. Updates will be posted on our website and within the app, with the effective date revised accordingly.

Where required, we will notify users of material changes directly within the app before the updated policy takes effect.

10. Jurisdiction and Governing Law

This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, except where mandatory provisions of applicable data protection laws (such as the GDPR) apply.
